It's hot in New York City

I am not yet in New York City, however most of the news channels and newspapers have carried the story that a large number of 'cooling centres' have been announced to ensure the people of NYC have places to go to keep cool in the current heatwave being experienced. Public liibraries have been announced as one of the options. I hope to see this in action next week when I begin my time studying the public libraries in this New York City. This scenario is one which the libraries across Victoria faced last Summer and which was successful, right up until the power went off, at which time a number of public libraries, including those of Moonee Valley were forced to close and ask library users to leave. I will be very interested to see this is action with the population of a city such as New York.
